Scooter, a dog so small he could sit in a teacup, has died.

At six-months-old, the Maltese pup was claimed to be the smallest dog in the world. He was going to try for the official world record when he turned one.

But he never got the chance.

That would be my fear if I had that small of a small dog - would it accidentally get stepped on?

He sure was a tiny guy, and so white!

What a winning little fellow. I wonder if he was the result of overbreeding though? There was no reference to that in the article, so I guess we'll never know. Still, it's very tragic.........
