The man known as the Bulli rapist has walked free from prison after 22 years.
Terry John Williamson, 42, walked out of Silverwater jail at 11am (AEDT) on Thursday.
Williamson, wearing a white polo shirt, jeans, sneakers and a brown cap, said nothing to waiting media as he got into a pale blue car.
There didn't appear to be anyone at the prison to meet him.
As a young man, Williamson terrorised the community of Bulli, on the NSW south coast, for 10 months in 1989 and 1990, using a police radio scanner to avoid detection.
He was convicted of 19 charges relating to the sexual assault of 10 females between the ages of five and 43, and an 11-year-old boy.
